School and Community

Red Bank is one of seventeen high schools within the Hamilton County school system. The campus is located within the city limts of Red Bank, Tennessee, just off of U.S. Highway 27. The community is primarily residential. Effective for the 2008-2009 school year, the opening of an adjacent school resulted in slight rezoning and a reduction in school size.

Red Bank is a comprehensive high school implementing a 4x4 block schedule. For 2008-09, all AP courses are year-long and earn two credits which are awarded at the end of the academic year.

All academic courses are college preparatory. Within the core academic areas of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, students may elect to pursue a more intense curriculum through Honors, Advanced Placement and/or Dual Enrollment courses.

Credit is given for selected county and state approved high school level eighth grade classes. These classes are included in the cumulative GPA.

Professional Staff: 82  (64% with Masters degree or beyond)

College Attendance

Over 82% of Red Bank graduates continue formal education. In recent years, 52% pursued a 4-year school, 30% pursued a 2-year school, and 11% have pursued military service.
